Volleyball: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:15-5:45pm at the TWU volleyball sand courts. Everyone is welcome from beginners to advanced.
Ultimate Frisbee: Fridays 3:00-4:30 At the TWU rec field in front of the library. All skill levels welcome.

These are usually scheduled as follows:
Summer semester: some Thursdays, 2:40-4:00 pm
Fall semester: some Wednesdays, 3:00-4:15 pm
Spring semester: some Thursdays, 1:30-2:45 pm
Presentations are typically about 45 minutes, with 15 minutes for Q&A, and then time for informal visiting after. There are cookies!

Emergency info
We will meet at CanIL at 9:15 AM to carpool to Pitt Lake (about a 20-minute drive). We’ll enjoy a family-friendly hike around the lake and spend some time outdoors together. Be sure to bring a lunch — we’ll stop at the picnic tables to eat before heading back. We plan to return to CanIL no later than 2:00 PM :)

We’ll meet at CanIL at 9am and drive to the Scott Road SkyTrain Station, where we’ll take the SkyTrain to Riley Park to explore the farmer’s market before heading over to Queen Elizabeth Park. The park is a beautiful green space filled with trees, gardens, and a stunning rose garden to wander through. There will also be opportunities for some fun activities, including disc golf and pickleball!
There will be food trucks available for lunch, or you’re welcome to bring your own. For anyone interested, there is also the option to visit Bloedel Conservatory for $8.55, where you can explore tropical plants and see rescued parrots in a unique indoor garden setting.

Join us for a hike in beautiful BC! It's about an 8km hike with a lake about 2-3km down the trail. You can choose to either do the whole hike, or hike to the lake and spend a day swimming and hanging out there! Make sure to bring a lunch with you! We will meet at CanIL at 8am.

It's time for the annual CanIL Campout! We'll be going to Blue Lake Resort in Boston Bar. The campout is free for all current CanIL students, faculty and their families!

Snax & Pics is a time to hear from people currently on the field or those who have been on the field doing linguistic and translation work. We will provide snacks from the region the speaker works in :)
We will take the ferry to Galiano Island for a day. You can hang out at the beach, go to the farmer's market, or hike up the mountain! There will be a fee to ride the ferry.
